Move and Mingle Health Walks
Move and Mingle is a regular walking group led by Walking for Health trained leaders. They meet at the Rose and Crown pub in Cotgrave on Fridays at 2pm for a sociable walk around the Country Park, gathering in the pub afterwards. No need to book, just turn up.

There are regular task days in the Country Park. Volunteers meet at the Car Park on Hollygate Lane at 10.00am. Dates can be found under the "Volunteering" page. Tasks range from mowing, hedge laying to creating wildlife areas and litter picking, under the guidance of NCC staff. Everyone is welcome, whatever your skills or physical ability. The day ends at 3pm but you finish when you like.
Volunteers from AGE UK, Rothera Sharpe Solictors, Nottingham College, and Office of the Public Guardian gathered in Cotgrave Country Park in November to plant 250 young trees. In March 2018 our volunteers and 80 children from The Candleby Lane School in Cotgrave helped to plant a further 300 saplings. The trees were donated by AGE UK Nottingham to mark their 75 year anniversary celebrations and Tree of Life Campaign.
This years Bat Walk will be held on the above date. It is being held by the NWT who will oversee the event. If interested the walk starts at the Hollygate Lane car park at 7.45pm and should last for about 1 hour. You are asked to wear appropriate clothing and bring a torch. Last year this event proved extremely popular and early indication show that this year will be similar.
